Patient Interaction Examples

These brief-simulated videos are examples of trauma-informed patient encounters, capturing portions of the sexual assault forensic exam. The intended audience are Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) and other clinicians who work with patients who present with a history of sexual assault. Other disciplines who may also encounter this population may benefit from this educational content. The goal of the videos is to enhance the SANE’s medical history taking practice, while ensuring victim safety, autonomy, and self-agency. Each vignette is under 10 minutes.
